Canyon Rim Road to Little River section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.
CLASS IV(V) 2.57 miles
Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Alabama tend to be more challenging than the national average, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that rivers here are less forgiving. The Canyon Rim Road to Little River section of Bear Creek in Alabama is 2.57 miles long and is a class IV(V) section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The wonderful Alabama scenery and the cool fresh water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time
outdoors are great reasons to come. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. The Canyon Rim Road to Little River section is the only paddling section along Bear Creek. This is a pretty short section so you'd better be prepared
to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The put-in location is a short drive from Summerville.
