The Rt. 227 to Town Creek stretch of Blackoak Creek is 5 miles long and is a class III-IV section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. This is a pretty decent length section, suitable for     an afternoon trip. The natural beauty of DeKalb County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream attract people from near and far.
