The put-in is not too far from Albertville, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. The natural beauty of DeKalb County and the cool fresh water attract people from near and far. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. This is a pretty decent length section, suitable for an afternoon trip. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to     be more challenging than the national average, so better not forget that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving.
