The starting location is a reasonable drive from Birmingham-Hoover, as you can see on the road map further down. The beautiful scenery of Alabama and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water make the trip here worthwhile. The US Route 11 to County Route 10 stretch is one of a few paddling stretches in this river system. A good workout and spending some quality time in nature will have you coming back for more.
