This stretch of Cheaha Creek is 2 miles long and has been rated as a class II-IV+ section by American Whitewater. The scenic beauty of Alabama and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream beats anything. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Alabama are often more challenging than in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that
a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. This stretch is short so no need to bring snacks. Getting some good exercise and just being out on the river for a while are sure to keep you coming back for more. The Cheaha Falls to Devils Den section is the only paddling
section along Cheaha Creek. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way there are not so many other good rivers for that around here. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination.
