The beautiful scenery of Alabama and the water flowing gracefully down Chinquapin Creek are reasons enough to come here and paddle. The average Alabama whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be harder to run than those in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. If you're coming from Summerville it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. The nearby hotels are a bit away from
the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. The Lower Canyon Rim Road to Little River Canyon section is the only paddling section along Chinquapin Creek. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of places
for that. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great reasons to come. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. This section is very short so better bring some good walking shoes. The Lower Canyon Rim Road to Little River Canyon section of Chinquapin Creek in Alabama is 0.75 miles long and is a class V section of whitewater according to American Whitewater.
