Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Alabama is often tougher than elsewhere, so don't forget that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. This section of Chitwood Creek is 3.2 miles long and it is classified as a class III-IV section by American Whitewater. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, around here you'll find a large number of good places. The nearby hotels     are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination.
