The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Talladega-Sylacauga, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. This section of Elkahatchee Creek in Alabama is 1.2 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class II-III section of whitewater. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. A good workout and just hanging out with mother nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. No need to look hard for hotels, but if you don’t
    have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more challenging than the national average, so you'd better keep in mind that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. This is a very short section
so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. There are no other sections to paddle along Elkahatchee Creek than the Elkahatchee Road to SR 63 section.
