The beautiful scenery of Blount County and the cool fresh water will make you feel great. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Alabama are harder than the national norm, so keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. This is the only paddling stretch along Graves Creek. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, in this general area you'll     find lots of paddling rivers. This is a bit of a short stretch so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Getting a good workout and just being out on the river for a while are sure to keep you coming back for more.
