The natural beauty of Alabama and the water flowing gracefully down Gurley Creek are reasons enough to come here and paddle. The Narrows Road to State Route 79 section is the only paddling section along Gurley Creek. The average Alabama whitewater     rafting or kayaking river tends to be harder to run than those in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that rivers here are less forgiving. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination.
