This is the only paddling section along Hicks Creek.     This stretch is very short so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. The put-in location is a short drive from Summerville, as you can see on the road map further down. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 20's for Hicks Creek. The high level of rain makes Hicks Creek a rather wet place; of all the months in a year   March is the one with the most rain, and October on the other hand is the driest. If time allows, Little River Canyon National Preserve is a national park worth visiting.
