CLASS III 3.3 miles
The nature scenery of Alabama and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream beats anything. The Fairview Road to Spring Creek stretch of Hog Creek is 3.3 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class III section of whitewater. Getting a good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more. There are nice comfortable hotels here, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. The put-in is not too far from Albertville,
as you can see on the road map further down. There are no other sections to paddle along Hog Creek than the Fairview Road to Spring Creek section. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling
places. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Alabama are often tougher than in other states, so don't forget that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners.
