  This stretch of Hog Creek in Marshall County is 3.3 miles long and has been rated as a class III section by American Whitewater. The scenic beauty of Alabama and the water flowing gracefully down Hog Creek have people coming here. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this is an area with plenty of places for that. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great reasons to come. The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Albertville, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further
    down the page. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. This is a short paddling stretch so better bring some good walking shoes. This is the only paddling stretch along Hog Creek. No shortage of good hotels, but do book a room before you come because
it is a very popular destination.

Briefly about the general area:
A great place close to Hog Creek is Hog Creek Hollow; a tour to Clear Spring will fill your soul with good feelings. Hog Creek is a wet place that gets a great deal of rainfall; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is October.
For the period of the warmest time of the year, highs typically are in the 80's at Hog Creek, and all through the night it cools down to the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's with temperatures at Hog Creek dipping down into the 20's during winter nights.
