The nature scenery of Dekalb County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are reasons enough to come here and paddle. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more challenging than the national average, so if you're not from around here don't forget that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. The starting location is a short drive from Summerville, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. Creek. The CR 47 to Canyon Rim Road section of Johnnies Creek in Alabama is 4 miles long and it is classified as a class II-III section by American Whitewater.
