The Highway 71 to BSA camp section of Jones Creek in Jackson County is 7.29 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class V+ section. The starting location is a reasonable drive from Scottsboro, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. The wonderful Alabama scenery and the cool fresh water attract people from near and far. The Highway 71 to BSA camp section is the only paddling section along Jones Creek. rafting and some kayaking, either way there are lots of good places for that around here. Great exercise and spending some quality time in nature are great attractions for lots of people. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. Whitewater rafting
