Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Alabama are harder than the national norm, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. Not too many
hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. Getting some good exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are sure to keep
you coming back for more.
