  If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more demanding, so better not forget that many runs in this state are not easy. The beautiful scenery of Alabama and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are reasons enough to come here and paddle. This section of Kirby Creek in Alabama is 2.4 miles long and is a class II-III section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will make you glad you came. This is a bit of a short
    stretch so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking
this is an area with plenty of spots for that. The starting point is not too far from Scottsboro, as you can see on the road map further down. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. Kirby Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the Rock City to South Sauty Creek section is the only one.
