The put-in is not too far from Gadsden, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Alabama are often tougher than in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that a large number of rivers in this state are not easy. The Egypt Road to Littleton Road stretch is the only paddling stretch along Line Creek. The wonderful Etowah     County scenery and the water flowing gracefully down Line Creek make the trip here worthwhile. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. This is a pretty short section so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. Getting some good exercise and just being out on the river for a while have a lot of people coming here. No shortage of good hotels, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, around here you'll find a large number of good spots. Briefly about the general area: A good deal of rainfall falls at Line Creek; most of the rain falls during March, and October is the month with the least moisture. During the months of summer, highs frequently are in the 90's at Line Creek. Summer night lows   plunge down to the 60's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Line Creek. Line Creek is right next door to Sheffield Gap which is beyond doubt worth stopping at.
