The Highway 35 to Upper Two section of Little River in Alabama is 3.08 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II-V section. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Alabama tend to be more challenging than the national average, so you'd better keep in mind that a large number of rivers in this state are not easy. A good workout and just hanging out with mother nature are great reasons to come. This is a somewhat short section so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. The beautiful scenery
of Alabama and the water flowing gracefully down Little River have people coming here. The Highway 35 to Upper Two section is one of many paddling sections in this river system. The campgrounds here at Little River are pretty good. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river,
but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. The put-in is not too far from Summerville, as you can see on the road map further down.
Briefly about the general area: Little River ordinarily gets a good deal of rainfall; during March this area sees the most rain, and October is the month with the least moisture. You have to absolutely check out Needle Rock while you're here at Little River; Little River Falls is a glorious local attraction. For the period of the months of summer at Little River highs are usually
in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 60's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Little River.
