This stretch of Little River in Dekalb/ Cherokee County is 6 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class III-IV section. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Alabama are often tougher than in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. A bit of exercise and spending some quality time in nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. This stretch is mid length, you can easily run it on an afternoon. This is not the only paddling section in this river system,
