The run from Lahusage Dam to G.E.Hill bridge on hy. 35 takes about 8 hours. The best time to run is in late April early May when the flowers are in full bloom. Six inches of water must be flowing over the dam to make a good run. Says Robert Maples
The Lahusage to Route 35 stretch of Little River - East Fork in Alabama is 13 miles long and is a class II(III) section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master in this state than those in other states, so if
you're not from around here don't forget that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good rivers. There's camping available near Little River - East Fork. If you hurry you
can run this section in a day but why not make it an overnighter, so go ahead and pack your camping stuff. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination.
