The nature scenery of De Kalb County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water have people coming here. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this area has a large number of paddling places. Not too many     hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. The State Route 73 to Long Island Creek stretch is the only paddling stretch along Lively Creek. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often tougher than in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many runs in this state are not easy. Getting some good exercise and spending some quality time in nature will make you glad you came. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, it's good length for a morning trip.
