The wonderful Alabama scenery and the water flowing gracefully down Miller/Long Island Creek beats anything. The Rt. 71 to Lake Guntersville stretch of Miller/Long Island Creek in Jackson County is 3 miles long and has been rated as a class V section by American Whitewater. Getting a good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors have a lot of people coming here. This is a bit of a short stretch so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, there are lots of good places |
