Who owns the river banks on the Mulberry Fork. Do you go by the high water mark on the banks or does the land owner have the rights to middle of the river? Says Bryan
If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so keep in mind that a large number of rivers in this state are not easy. The scenic beauty of Cullman/Blount County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are reasons enough to come here and paddle. Getting your paddling muscles activated
and a chance to spend some time outdoors will make you glad you came. If you have the time you can make this a two day trip, so pack your sleeping bag. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations
you might end up sleeping in your car. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, there are lots of good rivers for that around here. The Blountville Road to US Route 31 stretch of Mulberry Fork in Cullman/Blount County is 11.3 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class I-II section. There are a few other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp.
