The average Alabama whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be harder to run than those in other states, so don't forget that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. The scenic beauty of Alabama and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water attract people from near and far. There are a few other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive
a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. If you have the time you can make this a two day trip, so why not pack your camp stove too. This stretch of Mulberry Fork in Alabama is 10.8 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater
to be a class I-II section. If you're coming from Cullman it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, as you can see on the road map further down. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby.
