  The natural beauty of Cullman/Blount County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream attract people from near and far. The Old US Route 31 to bridge above I-65 stretch of Mulberry Fork in Cullman/Blount County is 10.8 miles long and has been rated as a class I-II section by American Whitewater. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Alabama is often more difficult than elsewhere, so better not forget that rivers here are less forgiving. The campgrounds here at Mulberry Fork are pretty good. The put-in location is a reasonable drive from
    Cullman, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. This stretch is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so go ahead and pack your sleeping bag. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to
stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The Old US Route 31 to bridge above I-65 section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this is an area with plenty of spots for that.

All the water falling down from the sky makes Mulberry Fork a wet spot; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is October.

Fork usually tend to be in the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 60's. Through the winter highs are in the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Mulberry Fork.
