The State Route 2to Coosa Road stretch of Six Mile Bend is 9.8 miles long and is a class I-II section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. This is a pretty decent length section, you can easily run it on an afternoon. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just hanging out with mother nature     will make you glad you came. There are no other sections to paddle along Six Mile Bend than the State Route 2to Coosa Road section. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. Briefly about the general area: Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Six Mile Bend. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 60's. Highs through the winter are typically in the 50's, and nighttime lows in the 30's for Six Mile Bend.
