This section of South Sauty Creek in Jackson/DeKalb County is 1.2 miles long and is a class IV-V section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The wonderful Alabama scenery and the playfulness of the water will make you feel great. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. This is an extremely short section so it's not     like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. Getting a good workout and spending some quality time in nature are great reasons to come. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good places.
