If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more demanding, so you'd better keep in mind that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this area has a pretty small number of paddling rivers. This is a bit of a short stretch so it's not like you're gonna spend     hours on the river in one stretch. The Oak Heights Road to Tallapoosa river section is the only paddling section along Stone Creek. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The campgrounds here at Stone Creek are pretty good. At Stone Creek through the days of summer highs are in the 80's while nighttime lows are usually in the 60's. All through the winter highs are in the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Stone Creek.
