  The CR 38 to South Sauty Creek section of Stringer Creek in Jackson County is 1 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II(III) section. The nature scenery of Alabama and the water flowing gracefully down Stringer Creek beats anything. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Alabama are often tougher than in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great reasons to come.
    There are no other sections to paddle along Stringer Creek than the CR 38 to South Sauty Creek section. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. The put-in location is a short drive from Scottsboro, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further
