The Skyway Mtwy to Waldo Bridge State Route 77 section of Talladega Creek is 7.25 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class III section of whitewater. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you won't find a large number of other rivers. The Skyway Mtwy to Waldo Bridge State Route 77 stretch is the only paddling stretch along Talladega Creek. A bit of exercise and just being out on the river for a while will     make you glad you came. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Talladega-Sylacauga, as you can see on the road map further down. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Alabama is often more difficult than elsewhere, so better not forget that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination.
