  The put-in is not too far from Albertville, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. The wonderful Dekalb County scenery and the cool fresh water beats anything. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots. This stretch of Town Creek in Alabama is 3.9 miles long and is a class II(III) section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if
    you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. This is a short paddling stretch so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Getting a good workout and just hanging out with mother
nature are great attractions for lots of people. There are a few other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well.

Briefly about the general area:
High Falls is always fun to check out. For the duration of the summer months highs here at Town Creek get into the 90's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Town Creek temperatures dip to the 20's.
The high level of rain makes Town Creek a relatively wet place; the month with most of the rain is March; the driest month is October.
