The natural beauty of Dekalb County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water will make you feel great. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more challenging than the national average, so you'd better keep in mind that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. This stretch of Town Creek in Dekalb County is 5.8 miles
    long and it is classified as a class II-III(V) section by American Whitewater. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Getting your paddling muscles activated
and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great reasons to come. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, you can easily run it on an afternoon. This is one of a small number of paddling stretches in this river system, there are a few others too.
