This stretch of Warrior River - Blackburn Fork in Blount County is 4.5 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class I-III(V) section. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so if you're not from around here don't forget that many runs in this state are not easy. The nature scenery of Blount County and the cool fresh water make the trip here worthwhile. The put-in location is a short drive from Cullman, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further
down the page. A bit of exercise and spending some quality time in nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. The Dirt Road off Route 15 to Route 1 stretch is one of many paddling stretches in this river system. There's camping available near Warrior River - Blackburn Fork.
You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car.
