This stretch of Archangel Creek is 3.7 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class V section. This is a pretty short section so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. There are campgrounds quite near the river where     you can camp. Getting a good workout and just being out on the river for a while are great attractions for lots of people. The nature scenery of Alaska and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are reasons enough to come here and paddle. There are no other stretches to paddle along Archangel Creek than the Fairangel Creek Confluence to Little Su Confluence stretch. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling places. When you're paddling down a Talkeetna Mountains river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too.
