Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Alaska tend to be more challenging than the national average, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. There's camping available near Bremner River. This is the only paddling stretch along Bremner River. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the
river if you want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. This section of Bremner River is 42 miles long and is a class I-III+ section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. Now this is a pretty long section, perfect for
a real wilderness adventure. The river winds through the Chugach Mountains and you get great scenery. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you won't find a large number of other places.
Briefly about the general area: Summertime highs at Bremner River commonly tend to be in the 60's while night lows are ordinarily in the 40's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 0's, and nighttime lows in the-20's for Bremner River. Around Bremner River you don’t get a lot of rainfall; July is the wettest month with most rain; the driest month of the year is April.
