  The wonderful Matanuska-Susitna Borough Borough scenery and the water flowing gracefully down Brushkana Creek attract people from near and far. The Denali Highway to Nenana River stretch of Brushkana Creek in Matanuska-Susitna Borough Borough is 21 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II+ section. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Alaska is often more difficult than elsewhere, so keep in mind that rivers here are less forgiving. Whitewater paddling here in the Alaska Range is a great experience. Getting some good exercise
    and just hanging out with mother nature are great reasons to come. If you have the time you can make this a two day trip, so why not pack your camp stove too. The Denali Highway to Nenana River section is the only paddling section along Brushkana Creek. The nearby hotels are a
bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby.

Briefly about the general area:
Brushkana Creek is a location that is rather dried out generally; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain, and April on the other hand is the driest.
High temperatures at Brushkana Creek throughout the warm months are in the 60's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 10's while Brushkana Creek night low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the-10's.
