This stretch is short so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors have a lot of people coming here. The beautiful Chugach Mountains scenery is an added bonus. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. The Lower Canyon to Tidewater section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system.
