The Gravel bar to Chitina River stretch is the only paddling stretch along Chakina River. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors have people coming from far and near. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before     you come because it is a very popular destination. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground.
