  The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Alaska are often more challenging than in other states, so keep in mind that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. Chetaslina River doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Chichokna River to Copper River stretch is the only one. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good spots. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but
    you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. This section is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so pack your sleeping bag. A good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors will make you glad you came. There are campgrounds quite
near the river where you can camp. This section of Chetaslina River in Alaska is 18 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class V+ section. The nature scenery of Valdez-Cordova Census Area Borough and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are reasons enough to come here and paddle. The wild scenery of the Wrangell Mountains is great.
