  The wonderful Alaska scenery and the playfulness of the water have people coming here. The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Alaska are often more challenging than in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. This section of Chetaslina River is 18 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class V+ section of whitewater.     River doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Chichokna River to Copper River stretch is the only one. The wild scenery of the Wrangell Mountains is great. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way there are lots of good spots for that around here.
A good workout and spending some quality time in nature will make you glad you came. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car.
