If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you won't find a large number of other rivers. Now this is a pretty long section, so it looks like you will be camping out. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more challenging than the national average, so you'd better keep in mind that the     rivers in this state are less manageable. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The wild scenery of the Alaska Range is great. The wonderful Alaska scenery and the cool fresh water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. There are no other stretches to paddle along Chulitna River than the East Fork to Talkeetna stretch. Getting some good exercise and just being out on the river for a while have a lot of people coming here. Briefly about the general area: Denali National Park & Preserve is a perfect national park. Chulitna River gets a normal amount of yearly rainfall; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest of the months is May. Summer brings highs in the 60's to Chulitna   River with night lows in the 40's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 10's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Chulitna River.
