Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Alaska is often tougher than elsewhere, so you'd better keep in mind that many runs in this state are not easy. Getting a good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more. The campgrounds here at Copper River are pretty good. it looks like you will be camping out.

Briefly about the general area:
Copper River is a location that is relatively dry ordinarily; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is April. Through the summer, highs regularly are in the 60's at Copper River, and the nighttime is fairly cooler of course, mostly in the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 0's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at Copper River temperatures descend to the-20's.
