from the river if you want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. A good workout and just hanging out with mother nature are great attractions for lots of people. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp.
The Lower or Upper Copper Lake to Lower Pike Lake or Intricate Bay section is the only paddling section along Copper River. The beauty of the Aleutian Range is a great plus for this river.
Briefly about the general area: All through the months of summer at Copper River highs are mostly in the 60's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 40's. During the wintertime highs are typically in the 20's, and after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Copper River fall into the 0's. The amount of precipitation
