county,
Bridge to Bridge section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.
CLASS II(III) 1.5 miles
This section of Eagle River in Alaska is 1.5 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class II(III) section. The starting location is a short drive from Anchorage, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of spots for that. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are sure to keep you coming back for more. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in
advance because these hotels fill up quick. This is a somewhat short section so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so better not forget that
quite a few of the sections here are not easy. The beautiful scenery of Anchorage Borough and the cool fresh water are reasons enough to come here and paddle.
