Getting a good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master in this state than     those in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that many runs in this state are not easy. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. If you have the time you can make this a two day trip, so why not pack your camping stuff too. The Upper river to Nabesna River section is the only paddling section along Jacksina River. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way around here you won't find a large number of other places. The beautiful Wrangell Mountains scenery is an added bonus. Briefly about the general area: Jacksina River is pretty waterless usually; most of the rain falls throughout July; the driest month of the year is March. Throughout the warm days of summer, highs mostly   are in the 70's at Jacksina River. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the-10's with temperatures at Jacksina River dipping down into the-30's through winter nights.
