The Upper Kotsina to Copper River stretch of Kotsina River is 42 miles long and it is classified as a class V+ section by American Whitewater. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often tougher than in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. The river winds through the Wrangell Mountains and you get great scenery. There are no other stretches to paddle along Kotsina River than the Upper Kotsina to Copper River
