The Mother Lode Cookhouse and Saloon to Shrock Road Bridge stretch of Little Susitna River in Matanuska-Susitna Borough is 6.4 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class IV-V section. The natural beauty of Matanuska-Susitna Borough and the cool fresh water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling rivers. Getting a good workout and just hanging out with mother nature are sure to keep you coming back for
