| of them. A good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great attractions for lots of people. The beautiful Chugach Mountains scenery is an added bonus. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good spots. There's camping available near Lowe River. On this section you do get some distance, good for a one day paddling trip.
Briefly | |
|
about the general area: A spree to Bridal Veil Falls will fill your spirit with fine feelings, and Snowslide Gulch is nearby, and is a good site. So much exciting stuff in the Chugach Mountains, just tremendous. Don't
leave Lowe River without first paying a visit to Rudleston Falls, and the cheerful people of Valdez like to hang out nearby. This is such a fun river. All the water falling down from the sky makes Lowe River a wet place.
September is when you get the most rain here, and June on the other hand is the driest. Throughout the summer months highs here at Lowe River reach the 60's; the overnight is a little chillier of course, regularly in the 40's.
