Briefly about the general area: Mineral Creek Glacier is a good location to stop at while in the neighborhood. Mineral Creek is a pretty wet place generally with a lot of rainfall; of all the months in a   year September is the one with the most rain; June is when it's the driest. During the long summer days at Mineral Creek highs are frequently in the 60's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 40's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Mineral Creek plunge into the 10's.
