The Buffalo Mine Road to Glenn Highway section is the only paddling section along Moose Creek. This stretch of Moose Creek in Matanuska-Susitna Borough is 6 miles long and has been rated as a class III+ section by American Whitewater. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car.
