Alaska whitewater - Nadina River, Valdez-Cordova Census Area Borough
Valdez-Cordova Census Area
county,
Nadina Glacier to Copper River section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.
CLASS V+ 18 miles
This section of Nadina River is 18 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class V+ section. The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Alaska are often more challenging than in other states, so better not forget that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. The natural beauty of Alaska and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great reasons to come. And of course,
there are campgrounds nearby. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way there are lots of good places for that around here. The Nadina
Glacier to Copper River section is the only paddling section along Nadina River.
