The natural beauty of Denali Borough and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream have people coming here. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Alaska are often tougher than in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that lots of rivers here are not for beginners. There are some good hotels near the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 0's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Nenana River dip into the-20's.
