For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. The wonderful Alaska scenery and the water flowing gracefully down Nenana River are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. The Alaska Range scenery is wonderful. This river system is full of great paddling stretches, the Twin Rocks to Healy stretch is just one of them. There are some good hotels near the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end     up sleeping in your car. This is a pretty decent length section, it's good length for a morning trip. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, there are not so many other good rivers for that around here. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will make you glad you came. The average Alaska whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be harder to run than those in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that the rivers in this state are less manageable.
