Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Alaska are harder than the national norm, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. No need to look hard for hotels, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. The beautiful Alaska Range scenery is an added bonus.
